Dance Wear International are super proud to be sponsoring The Gold Coast Eisteddfod in 2019!
The Gold Coast Eisteddfod began in 1982 as part of ‘Tropicarnival’, Gold Coast City’s first ever Festival.
The Eisteddfod has continued to grow and is now the largest competition of its kind in the country staged in August and September each year.
Entries are received from the south-east Queensland region and all other States of Australia. Apart from individual entrants, around 158 Primary and Secondary Schools and more than 70 Dance Studios participate in sections which include Solo & Group Dance, Piano, Strings, Brass & Wind, Instrumental Groups, Bands, Orchestras, Vocal, Choral and Young People with Disabilities. In 2018, over 66,000 competitors took to the stage in 574 sections!!
Venues are HOTA – Home of the Arts , Robina and Albert Waterways Community Centres and we encourage everyone to attend one of these to witness what is always a dance spectacular which presents some of the countries emerging talent.
Dance Wear International will be sure to be there and will keep you posted with some Social Media content!
Order early if you require that special outfit or costume to stand out in the stage lights!
